Partner – Monocrom     Monocrom S.L. (Monocrom), Spain Monocrom S.L. (SME) was established in 1993, with the support of a team of people with vast experience in electronics, mechanics and optics, deeply involved in laser technology, in order to develop and manufacture laser diode modules (LDM) which is still the main product line. The LDM division provides red to near-IR laser diodes with powers up to 500 mW, SM-MM fibre optic output, low divergence or high NA lenses. The near-IR high-power laser division manufactures laser diode bar stacks: high-power laser modules of laser diode bars mounted, 60-300 W quasi-cw. Other divisions develop DPSSL units, with power up to 300 W in the near-IR (quasi-cw or Q-switched) and frequency doubled (green) lasers with power up to 5 W. In addition, a wide range of products and accessories are available to respond to specific customer specifications for high-power DPSSLs (both near-IR and green) and diode-laser units. The facilities owned by Monocrom have an area of 1200 m², with clean rooms of 400 m². The present turnover (2002) amounts to 2 Mio. € and a 20% increase is planned for 2003.
