High-Q Laser Production GmbH (High-Q Laser), AustriaHigh-Q Laser Production GmbH (SME) is a leading supplier of compact ultrafast (femtosecond and picosecond) DPSSLs, for scientific, medical and industrial markets. Based on its technology of direct diode pumping and semiconductor saturable absorber mirrors (SESAMs), the products are extremely compact, easy-to-use, turn-key laser systems. The team is international and consists of several laser physicists and laser engineers with an academic and working experience in the field of DPSSLs and ultrafast pulse generation with SESAMs. High-Q Laser’s activities are further supported by its shareholders who are specialists in the fields of lasers, nonlinear optics, and financing. The company’s CEO Dr. Daniel Kopf has more than 9 years of experience in diode-pumping and SESAM technology. He is author on numerous scientific and patent publications. The research activities at High-Q Laser include R&D contracts with co-funding from companies and/or government. High-Q Laser’s strong scientific commitment includes collaborations with research groups renowned in the field. The product line of High-Q Laser includes mode-locked and compact femtosecond and picosecond DPSSLs based on YAG, YVO4, YLF and glass, doped with Nd or Yb. Other products include tunable femtosecond DPSSLs based on Cr-doped LiSAF or LiCAF, picosecond regenerative amplifiers and conversion stages for generation of the harmonics (second to fourth) of these systems. High-Q Laser was established in 1999 as GmbH. The present turnover (2002) amounts to 2.3 Mio € and a 50% increase is planned for 2003. High-Q Laser engages at present 15 employees.
